Our heat is broken. Which isn’t a huge deal it’s just a little cold in our house which is only mildly inconvenient. While we’re waiting on a part to come in for the repairs, we’re relying on a strict room rotation plan of a new oscillating portable space heater (that doesn’t oscillate – it’s going back today), an older short and squatty portable space heater, and blower-less gas logs (not very effective, but oh so pretty). One of the things I have been feeling a little guilty about is the environment for our pets: Bob the cat and Nigel the snake. That is, until this morning when I noticed them in their “environments” and I got a little envious …
Not sure I’d look this comfortable trying to curl up and lay in the sun
And I’m not sure if you can tell from the reflection of the thermometer, but it’s 80 degrees in Nigel’s box. It’s 58 degrees in our house.

Funny. I just find it very interesting that you felt bad for Bob and Nigel… I sense a softening in your heart towards your little reptile friend. Happy Veteran’s Day, government employee!:)
