I know it just sounds like I’m scheming for a day off from work, but shouldn’t inauguration day be a national holiday? I mean, it only happens every four years. Would it really hurt our economy? Especially now? Maybe it could just offer everyone a chance to stop and catch their breath. There is undoubtedly a battle ahead for all of us. In many ways we agree on where we need to go, but disagree on how to get there. Perhaps we all need a day to relax, reflect, and replenish or to just live, laugh, and love. Yeah that’s it, all we need is love.

I like the idea of having Inauguration Day off – I mean, that way, we can truly be involved in politics and know what’s happening in our country. You should really lobby for something like that! It would take a lot of hard work, but I think you’re up to the challenge.:) Also, I think there’s a famous song attached to your last few words of this post.:)
I suppose if I don’t lobby for it then who will? Then again, if I become a lobbyist (even for such a noble cause) then I won’t be eligible to work for the Obama administration. Well, unless of course I wanted to be deputy defense secretary. Oh, and you’re right, I may have “stolen” that last line from somewhere.
