I moved again, back to a place I've lived before, from a place I grew fond of too late. Depending on your perspective, you might say I'm still in the process of moving even though said process started (and supposedly ended) about 35 days ago. My apologies to those left in the wake of my destruction.
The decision to move again was tough, but a decision that was reached in part because of some uncertainty about my job situation (not dire, but too long and complicated to explain here). Effective February 1st, I accepted a promotion to full-time management and I am anxiously awaiting my appointment for corporate branding. It's more of a formality than anything else, but I have to admit I'm a little nervous about it. My skin's never been scorched by a red-hot iron before so I'm not really sure what to expect. It kind of makes me wish we could just take it back to the days where you bragged about where you worked and that was enough to show your loyalty. Ce n'est pas!
I just finished reading a book about the spirituality of U2 (Walk On by Steve Stockman). I must be the most dense person in the world because until I stumbled upon a U2 tribute album by Christian artists on iTunes, I never gave U2's music a second thought with regard to spirituality. It all seems so obvious now, especially after reading the book. Honestly when I first picked up the book, I thought I might find myself simply reading into a series of coincidences but the evidence is a little more compelling than that. Not to mention Bono's been a little more outspoken regarding his spirituality lately.
Searching on iTunes for Shaquille O'Neal's legendary rhymes is not as fruitful as one may desire, but if you search carefully enough you will find a karaoke version of his greatest hit, Biological Didn't Bother.

Super Second Half
Didn't think of it in time to get the first half, so here's my second half Super Bowl diary. I had to go back in time for part of it so times are approximate and may be more wrong than right.
8:13 pm I just got back from my Bruster's run just in time to catch Prince's halftime show. This has great potential, but he's starting out with a song I don't know. We'll see how this goes.
8:19ish pm Turns out even though Prince has a vast catalog of his own material choose from he's going with a random single by the Foo Fighters from a year and a half ago. Interesting.
8:23ish pm Purple Rain! In the rain! Best halftime show EVER!
Sometime in between Dungy challenges a 12 men on the field no call. Nice strategy.
8:40 pm - 9:30 pm Can't type while I'm ironing. Stupid business attire rules.
9:35ish pm Rex throws another interception. Is a direct snap offense out of the question at this point?
9:42 pm When Rex Grossman's high school coach told him to aim for the sky, Rex took him a little too seriously. Note to all high school football coaches: Choose a different inspirational cliche.
9:50 pm Two minute warning. This isn't really fun anymore. Honestly, it never was.
